Nichole's Friend April Price and Shawnee and Geraldine gave her a shower that was at my house. (I got the easy part). We had a lot of people there, cute kids and great food.
I think Nichole is so beautiful and she is such a great Mom. It's very exciting to see how this new little boy will round out the family.

Blog catch-up
I've been so busy trying to get our new little buisness started, and seeing to my family's needs and my work schedule that blogging kind of fell by the way side for a bit.
Nina sent me these pictures of me helping out at the day care where she works. Since I still don't have time to blog, I'll just post these. I miss Nina so much and it was fun being with her and her family last month.

To be politacaly correct, it is called "Bio Pigmintation" Not Tattooing
Well, I thought that I would let everyone know about my new adventure. Shannon and I and my sister Annette are going to Dallas Texas next week to train in Bio Pigmintation. We will be trained to apply permanent make-up and camouflage. And NO I do not think that it goes against the Prophets counsel and neither does my Stake President. I am so glad that Richard is supporting me in this. I look at it this way. "You would not put graffiti on your temple, but you would paint the mouldings and repair stained areas.
We will be attending the largest training center in the United States. I'm really excited. Here are pictures of what we will be learning to do.

My favorite view in my yard
This blog is for me more than anyone else. The first pic was taken yesterday. The next to today. In three more days 90% of the leaves will have dropped. It's just all so fleeting that I thought I would capture it.

Bad Dog, Bad, Bad, Bad Dog
Well evidently Harley did not keep the Fast this Sunday. We came home to find parts of McKay's favorite pet bird "TJ" all tore apart on the floor. I hurried and vacuumed up the mess before McKay got home. It was a very sad day for him. This is Harley's second big strike. I wonder if he knows "Three strikes and your out!"

Life's not that perdictable.
This is my view from my kitchen window right over the sink. Earlier this spring I planted a huge planter just outside my window with a huge beef stake tomato plant. (We gave up gardening in real gardens a few years back.) We just can't seem to get things to grow very well. Case in point. No Beef Stake Tomatoes........but hmmmmmmm what is this a beautiful Sunflower. I've really enjoyed it as I do my dishes each day, maybe even better than the I would have the tomatoes. "NOT". But I have learned sometimes in life we get what we get and we should enjoy the twist and turns that weren't expected. After all there is alway the farmers market for those tomatoes right?Posted by Linda at 1:04 PM 1 comments
They're still having patience with me after 48 years
Well we had a real treat this week with my parents coming out to visit us for about three days. Lucky me, I got called in to work three different nights for 12 hour shifts each time. This picture was taken just as I was coming home after the last call-in, and they were leaving to go home. I felt so bad about the whole thing. But all in all we made good use of the time that we had together and they just rolled with the flow. The family really enjoyed their stay too. We love them and are glad that they came.

Mountain Memories
This weekend we celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary. We decided to kill two birds with one stone and make a family camping trip out of it. Since Mckay was the only one at home that was free, we took him and the dog (big mistake)and took off for Sibley Lake. Mark and Shayla would join us with Jay the second night. We really enjoyed ourselves and the scenery was the best in the world as far as I am concerned. Hope you enjoy the pictures of Jay's first campout, McKays tadpoles that we just had to bring home and Marks rednecked way of getting all of the equipment there. We wish you all could have been there.

Nana perks
Friday afternoon I got a call from Shayla. She said that she was taking baby Jay to the park to play in the wading pool and wondered if I might like to come down with them.
I had just a small moment of panic of recall of what that entailed.....packing sunblock, diapers, float devices, bottles, crackers, shade umbrella, towel, water, and then....it dawned on me. I was Nana not Mommy. I love It! I grabbed my keys and went and totally enjoyed it. By the way thanks Shayla for all of the unseen work that you put into making our day.

Parting is such sweet sorrow
Well they say, all good things must come to an end, and so it is with our old yellow tub. I feel real bad thrown'n the old girl out when there isn't a thing wrong with her than the fact that what once lightened and brightened my world is now just a little much for me. Maybe we do mellow with age. Any way adio's. arrovederci, farewell.
As you can see Harley won't be missing it any.

4th of July Weekend/ Tickled Pink with the Blues
We had a great day that started with the traditional Family Breakfast at the park and the food was EXCELLENT this year. Then Mark and Shayla and Richard and I Rode the bikes to the Cody Parade taking the scenic routes. After the parade we ate at the Irma Hotel and wined and dined to a dozen men playing the bagpipes they were so close to our table I could have reached out and touched a plaid skirt. It was great but we forgot the camera so we just took a picture of Shayla and I after the ride when we were pooped on the couch. Then Mark started playing the guitar and we couldn't resist taking this video clip of baby Jay. Hope you all enjoy it.
