Happy Anniversey Honey!

This post is for Richard. Thanks for asking me to marry you, even though I had to tell you to do it.

Mountain Memories

This weekend we celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary. We decided to kill two birds with one stone and make a family camping trip out of it. Since Mckay was the only one at home that was free, we took him and the dog (big mistake)and took off for Sibley Lake. Mark and Shayla would join us with Jay the second night. We really enjoyed ourselves and the scenery was the best in the world as far as I am concerned. Hope you enjoy the pictures of Jay's first campout, McKays tadpoles that we just had to bring home and Marks rednecked way of getting all of the equipment there. We wish you all could have been there.

Nana perks

Friday afternoon I got a call from Shayla. She said that she was taking baby Jay to the park to play in the wading pool and wondered if I might like to come down with them.
I had just a small moment of panic of recall of what that entailed.....packing sunblock, diapers, float devices, bottles, crackers, shade umbrella, towel, water, and then....it dawned on me. I was Nana not Mommy. I love It! I grabbed my keys and went and totally enjoyed it. By the way thanks Shayla for all of the unseen work that you put into making our day.

Parting is such sweet sorrow

Well they say, all good things must come to an end, and so it is with our old yellow tub. I feel real bad thrown'n the old girl out when there isn't a thing wrong with her than the fact that what once lightened and brightened my world is now just a little much for me. Maybe we do mellow with age. Any way adio's. arrovederci, farewell.
As you can see Harley won't be missing it any.

4th of July Weekend/ Tickled Pink with the Blues

We had a great day that started with the traditional Family Breakfast at the park and the food was EXCELLENT this year. Then Mark and Shayla and Richard and I Rode the bikes to the Cody Parade taking the scenic routes. After the parade we ate at the Irma Hotel and wined and dined to a dozen men playing the bagpipes they were so close to our table I could have reached out and touched a plaid skirt. It was great but we forgot the camera so we just took a picture of Shayla and I after the ride when we were pooped on the couch. Then Mark started playing the guitar and we couldn't resist taking this video clip of baby Jay. Hope you all enjoy it.
