I'm so glad

I just opened up my lesson manual to start preparing the Sunday School lesson for my 12 year olds. The title of the Lesson is " You can know for yourself". Well it just really hit me. That I do know for myself and I am so glad. Knowing is what gets me through this life one day at a time.
Knowing that Jesus is that Christ. That his love for me is uncomprehending. That he will actually take my sins away from me if I let go of them. And that Joseph Smith was a Prophet who restored Christs Church to the earth and that we have a prophet today to guide us. I Really do know these things are true and I'm so glad to know.

He did it again!

Richard came home last night and laid a plaque on the counter with out a word and went to get something to eat. I swear the guy is so humble, I would have been yelling as soon as I got in the door,"Hey everybody guess what happened to me today!"
He was awarded Teacher of the Year for the second time in his career . He wouldn't even pose for a picture for me to put on my blog. Well I have my ways. Any way CONGRATULATIONS HONEY! We all know that your the best!

Art imitates life

Being Hip or not having them

To be hip or not to have them.

Last Sunday Karren walked into church wearing one of the latest styles consisting of wearing leggings under your dress. As I was walking out of Relief Society with her I have to admit that I was a little self conscious thinking that everyone was looking at her leggs and thinking what in the world does she have on?, or where is the bottom half of her pantyhose? But I love her and am proud of her so I held my head high and strutted with her through the whole church with peoples eyes dropping and looking down towards her leggs as they greeted us and we walked by. I had just greeted Sally Corlis in the foyer when she started running after me yelling my name. When she caught up to me she placed her hands on my lower thighs and yanked my skirt up which had fallen almost to my knees. Well wasn't I in style with my saggen and baggen out fit? I think next week I might try an improved look of leggings!..

Great Moms!

Yesterday was such a great day for someone who usually hates Mothers Day because I always felt like I never quite measured up for all of my trying. But I got to thinking how blessed I am for the great moms in my life. First of all my own which was the standard that I was always trying to measure up too. And then my own daughters and daughter in laws for what great moms they are to my grandkids. What a blessing it is to know that they are being loved and cared for by the best women ever!

Blessings and Miracle

Well I have to tell you about our Kitten episode this week. McKay got a new Kitten which Richard accidentally slammed in the basement door. Well it was pretty bad(the guts were squished out of both ends of the poor cat. Needless to say both Dad and McKay were devastated. The kitten went into convolutions and McKay asked Richard to bless the cat which he more or less, kind of less did. Then Mckay got the whole family together to pray for the cat. Mckay said a very pleading prayer, but he also said "if the cat has to die please don't let it have any pain.
Well we all went to bed and at about 11:00pm Mark came in to our room and said "You guys need to go put that cat down right now he looks awful. Then Karren came in and said the same thing. I told them no McKay would never forgive us. Besides he prayed that it wouldn't have pain and I think we should just wait till morning. Well you can see from the pictures that in the morning we had a bouncing around healthy cat. McKay says that he is changing its name to Miracle. And that it is.

Codee looked great too

Just a pic of Codee. She will be rooming with Karren this summer

The great thing about small towns

I forgot to mention that Karren talked me into going to The Prom Grand March. Which Her boyfriend was told by a teacher that he HAD to attend so he took a foreign exchange student and went. Well we weren't surprised when he got Jr.King but we were when his sister McKenzie got Senior Prom Queen. The Students also voted as the Senior King Josh Fink who has been trying to rehabilitate from a motorcycle accident that left him in a coma for a month and has been learning to do everything again. It was great.

The Twilight Zone

It was great having Mark and Shayla here for the weekend, but Shayla brought something with her. I had heard a lot about the twilight books and Karren has read all three and wants to read them again. Well needless to say if I don't post for awhile you'll know that I'm in the twilight zone.

This is not easy!

Well, the computer illiterate has started the beginnings of a blog with a lot of help. Hopefully future blogs will get better and better and it won't take 10 hours and a crew of people to help me get one sentence and one picture published. Tune in next week for another TWO sentences!
